New York based Australian architectural designer, Ameé Allsop, creates spaces and objects that are on a quest for simplicity with a richness of materiality and form. In essence, she believes in thoughtful and considered design that evoke a feeling of calm and beauty.
Born in Sydney, Australia and raised in New York, Ameé has a masters degree in Architecture and has worked for renowned architects including AIA Gold Medal architect Peter Stutchbury and Matthew Baird Architects. In 2013, Amee started her own design studio in New York and has continually explored architecture that extends to interiors, furniture and objects.
In 2018, Ameé launched her first furniture collection, Pure Minimalist. The collection is about calming the senses and enticing a poetic change, much like her recent move from Brooklyn to the beaches of the East End. The 6 piece collection is handmade in New York with select travertine and solid American ash.
